Laser hazard warning health & safety signs
- These durable signs are designed to indicate potential hazards caused by lasers in key workplace areas. According to Health & Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996, workplaces must display hazard signs to warn people to take precautions in hazardous areas. In this case the sign can remind workers to avoid entering areas in which lasers are in use unless they are equipped with appropriate protective equipment. To remind workers exactly what personal protective equipment they should use when working around lasers, you could install appropriate PPE signs and posters alongside this laser hazard sign.
- The laser hazard signs are available in a wide variety of sizes to suit different environments and applications. To ensure your message is clearly visible, you may need to install a variety of signs at different entrance points, including in corridors or on doorways which lead into dangerous areas as well as inside the hazardous area itself.
- The signs are also available in a range of different materials. The self-adhesive vinyl variety is flexible in order to be adhered to smooth, clean and dry surfaces, and are particularly useful for curved surfaces such as cylinders or for placing on glass door panels. The self-adhesive rigid plastic variety offers all the convenience of the vinyl labels because they make installation incredibly easy, but they are a little more durable and robust which makes them perfect for installing on smooth walls. Finally, the polypropylene rigid plastic variety, which must be adhered via sign fixings (which must be purchased separately), is extremely durable and ideal for outdoor applications or installation on rough surfaces such as brick walls.
