Workplace environments can increase the risk of a foreign objects or liquids entering the eyes, so the provision of an effective eye wash station in an important part of your first aid equipment.
This combined eye wash and first aid station comes with all the necessary items needed to wash out any objects of liquids that have entered an eye and also comes with full instructions printed on the back panel, which gives guidance on using the emergency saline and neutralising eyewash to treat splashes and foreign bodies. There is also a mirror, so that the casualty can self administer the eyewash if required.
The station comes with a BS 8599-1 compliant first aid kit, for use with other types of accident, an A4 accident book, 3 x 500ml bottles of saline and 1 x 500ml bottle of neutralising eyewash, to quickly neutralise acids and alkalis. There is a choice of two versions of the station available, depending on the size of your workforce.
To help provide first aid information reminders in an emergency, our workplace first aid posters might be worth considering to back up the knowledge of your designated first aid responders. Signs to show the location of first aid stations are also available separately.
