Self-adhesive alarm pull cord sign with tactile and braille print
- Washroom emergency alarm cords can be difficult to locate for people who are visually impaired, which can be a frightening situation in an emergency. This sign helps the cord to be found more easily, by providing several different ways to help partially sighted people.
- The sign has the message written in grade 1 braille, which is a widely used form understood by many readers. This maximises the chances of understanding the sign. For partially sighted people and those unable to read braille, the English lettering of the sign is raised for tactile reading. It is also in strongly contrasting colours, which helps partially sighted people to see it. The sign is made from a single piece of die-moulded plastic, which protects the printing and makes for a long-lasting sign.
