- 5-year guarantee
- 6-metre throw range
- Corrosion-resistant paint finish
This high-quality water fire extinguisher has a five-year guarantee and is BAFE approved, BSI kitemarked, and CE marked, as well as having been manufactured under the BSEN ISO 9001 accredited quality system. All this means you can be sure you are buying the best and safest equipment for your business.
This fire extinguisher is Class A, making it suitable for fires on paper, cloth, wood, cardboard, textiles and other carbonaceous materials. The extinguisher weighs 14 kilogrammes filled, so is not too heavy to lift and aim for most members of staff, and has a throw range of 6 metres, allowing the user to stand well back from the blaze while using the extinguisher.
The extinguisher is easy to use even for someone who hasn’t used one before. Just stand well back from the fire, check you aren’t aiming at any live electrical equipment, and that the extinguisher is full. Remove the safety pin which will break the plastic tamper seal, and squeeze the lever slowly to release the water. The extinguisher will be fully discharged in 52.6 seconds, so you won’t be spending any more time facing a dangerous situation than you need to.
Always be safe rather than sorry, though, and if you’re not sure, or the fire is too big to tackle safely, get out and stay out until the fire brigade has dealt with the situation and given the all clear.
The extinguisher has a clearly colour-coded handle and a heavy-duty brass valve, with a long-lasting corrosion-resistant paint finish. To keep the extinguisher accessible without posing a tripping hazard, it also comes with a fixing bracket for wall mounting, with spare brackets available to buy.
