Photoluminescent and essential anti-clockwise information sign

  • Particularly if a door is part of an emergency exit plan, it's vital that employees, visitors and members of the public know how to open it quickly and safely. Although opening a door may seem pretty straight-forward, not knowing whether to push, pull or which way to turn a "twist to open" mechanism can all delay an evacuation process, potentially increasing risk to building occupants. This handy "turn to open" notice is a good solution - locate it near, or on, the door that opens with a turning action and people will know exactly what to do. The direction of twist is also indicated on the sign, saving a second or two of precious time in an emergency situation.
  • Like many of the other signs in our selection of photoluminescent fire signs, this directional label comes in different sizes and can be made from rigid plastic or self-adhesive vinyl. Not only are these materials tough and virtually maintenance free, they can also be displayed successfully in a wide range of different environments. The self-adhesive ones can simply be stuck where required and rigid plastic options can be stuck on using adhesive or fixings. By creating the turn to open notice from photoluminescent material, it remains highly visible even in dim lighting - a safety advantage at night or when smoke obscures visibility.
  • Many work places opt to use photoluminescent signs to map all the emergency exit routes in their building, ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation. Directional and instructional signage such as arrows, slide to open, push and pull, combine to form coherent route markers that can significantly enhance the speed and effectiveness of your evacuation procedures.
  • We produce two photoluminescent implements: Xtra-Glo & Nite-Glo. Nite-Glo (PSPA Class B classification) will stay luminous for 6 hours with a recharge time of 5 minutes in normal lighting. Whereas Xtra-Glo (PSPA Class C classification) will keep gleaming for 24 hours. To ensure you are fully compliant with ISO 16069, you will need to set Xtra-Glo signage in place. Grade of luminescence is suggestive and therefore can vary based on circumstance including positioning of product or the quantity of exposed natural light in the application area.
