Slip-Resistant Fluted Rubber Switchboard Matting
- Open switchboards and various other types of high-voltage equipment can present serious risks to the people operating them. This switchboard matting offers a simple solution, increasing safety for workers who are exposed to these risks. Simply place it in front of the equipment in question and it provides protection against shocks while people stand on it to operate the machinery.
- The matting is available in two different levels of thickness. The 6mm version is tested for working protection up to 450 volts, while the 9.5mm thick matting offers working protection of up to 650 volts. It complies to BS921 (1976) and performs effectively. Our 'danger – high voltage' signs let people know when they're near to hazardous electrical equipment so that they can take the necessary precautions to protect themselves.
- In addition to its electrical protection, the matting provides a cushioned surface for people to stand on. This helps reduce fatigue in workers who are on their feet all day, which helps maximise concentration and helps people work more safely. It also has a slip-resistant fluted surface, which reduces the likelihood of injuries from falling. To make staff more comfortable in areas where electrical protection isn't needed, our anti-fatigue linear metre matting is ideal.
- The hard-wearing matting provides a long-lasting protective surface, so it won't need to be replaced frequently, even in areas with high foot traffic or where it's being used to stand on for large parts of the day. With several different sizes available, there's bound to be an option to suit your needs, so you won't need to trim it to size or lay down overlapping mats to get the right coverage.
- Matting of different types is useful in many different situations. Our chemical-resistant mats are perfect for maintaining a safe, clean environment in areas where hazardous substances are used, and it also helps people keep a firm grip on the floor if there's a spillage.
- We also stock insulated anti-slip matting to keep people comfortable and safe in cold conditions and prevent slipping. It's particularly effective on cold concrete which can be extremely unpleasant on its own.
