Strong and secure Personal Protective Equipment cabinets
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for employees, where needed, under the Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations 1992 and the Personal Protective Equipment Regulations 2002, and it is the employer’s responsibility to provide it free of charge to the employee.
- PPE is any kind of equipment that will protect your staff against any health and safety risks when they are at work. You may need to provide gloves or gauntlets, eye protection, safety footwear (such as steel toe-capped boots), safety harnesses, helmets or high visibility clothes. Depending on working conditions, PPE may also need to include Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE).
- All PPE must be chosen to suit the conditions and the work being carried out, and you must train all of your employees in the correct ways to use their protective items. You will also need to teach them how to check for any faults in their equipment and inform them of the procedures to follow to report any problems with their equipment and for ordering replacements.
- It is also the employer’s responsibility to make sure that any reusable PPE is cleaned properly and kept in excellent condition. The business owner should also ensure any other PPE is looked after properly and stored away carefully in clean and dry conditions, when not being used. We offer six different sizes of cabinet to suit working areas of any size, and the different cabinets come with adjustable shelving, with our larger cabinets featuring hanging fitted rails.
