Ergonomic Mechanical Litter Picker Grippers
- This clever range of litter pickers is designed to make it easier, cleaner and faster to collect and dispose of litter. Each design is crafted from lightweight aluminium which makes them very easy to manoeuvre, and the ergonomic shape of the handles ensure they fit comfortably inside the hand without causing undue strain when used for long periods of time.
- The biggest benefit of mechanical grippers for collecting litter is that they minimise the need to repeatedly bend down to pick up items from the floor, which can cause back strain over time. Plus, they alleviate the need to touch waste items directly with the hands which can be incredibly unhygienic, particularly if dealing with waste food items which may have started to decompose. To maximise the health and safety of refuse staff, be sure to provide hand protection; thermal gloves are an excellent choice because they can also help to protect hands from harsh weather conditions in winter.
- Our litter pickers are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Since aluminium is a non-rusting material, you won't have to worry about the pickers getting damaged when used outside in rainy conditions. When using them outdoors, be sure to equip workers with appropriate refuse collection equipment such as high-vis clothing and safety boots. We also recommend combining the litter pickers with refuse sack hoops, which conveniently hold refuse sacks wide open to allow litter to be quickly and easily disposed of. Though both the litter pickers and hoops are highly affordable and relatively simple items, they can dramatically speed up the waste collection process and maximise the productivity of refuse workers.
