A standalone or refill HSE first aid kit
- Every workplace has a number of potential risks which could result in cuts, bruises, sprains or other physical traumas.
- This basic first aid kit covers many of these risks, allowing first aid to be administered in the event of minor injuries and to mitigate further effects of a more serious accident whilst medical advice is sought.
- The kit contains sterile medium and large dressings to cover any injuries as well as washproof plasters, wound cleansing wipes to avoid infection, triangular bandages, eye pads, powder free gloves to avoid blood contamination and a basic first aid guide. This allows for basic first aid to be administered in the event of a sprain, cut, laceration, graze, an eye injury or fall.
- As well as being good practice, it is a legal requirement for workplaces to conduct risk assessments and act on the recommendations made to mitigate perceived risks.
