'Floor 1' Tactile Lettering and Braille Safety Sign
- This Braille sign has been carefully designed to ensure that those with visual impairments can be informed of the immediate floor level they are on. Constructed from one piece of die-moulded plastic, the sign's raised letters and Braille will not be worn away with regular touch. The high-contrast white text on a deep blue background also ensures that the text can be easily seen by those who are partially sighted.
- The sign uses grade 1 Braille, which is widely used by Braille readers and will therefore be understood by the majority who read it. Tactile text also helps to provide improved access for blind and partially sighted people and ensures that premises provide adequate aid to those with impaired sight.
