Slips, trips and falls account for around 38% (10,835) of major workplace injuries each year. This means one slip or trip accident every three minutes and every hour someone breaks a bone at work. This equates to a cost to employers of over £500 million. The Workplace Health, Safety & Welfare Regulations 1992 were created to maintain a clean workplace.
