Photoluminescent Fire Signs

Fire signs are an important part of health and safety in the workplace. Fire safety standards are in place to help to save lives and every member of staff should be aware of the procedures to follow in the event of an emergency.

Multi-message signs are the ideal way of educating staff, in particular those who are disabled and who may need additional assistance in the event of an emergency. The signs clearly identify the procedure to follow. They should be placed in areas of the building where staff members can see them easily and should be part of awareness training.

The colour-coding guide to fire extinguishers can also prove to be useful in fire awareness training and ideally should be placed near all extinguishers for easy reference. All employees should then be able to identify at a glance which fire extinguishers can be used to tackle the different types of fires. These signs are also photoluminescent so they will glow in the dark. Other fire equipment should also be clearly marked and there are photoluminescent fire signs for this. The fire blanket sign shows how and when it can be used and the fire hose reel sign is also an important feature of fire safety. The signs are compliant with all the relevant health and safety regulations and are made using eco-friendly materials and treated so that in the event of a blackout they will light up to guide people to the equipment that they need
