- Line marking in your workplace can help you comply with Workplace Health & Safety Welfare Regulations 1992; minimising the risk of potential accidents in your workplace with clear and easy to follow traffic routes that are free from obstruction.
Essential tips before you line mark:
- Ensure the ground to be painted is dry, clean and free from dust and grease.
- If the there are no existing lines, mark-out a guide line with chalk.
- If using paint do an apply test on a piece of card.
- Again using pieces of card, place a piece of card at the points where you want lines to finish.
- At a consistent speed, paint lines by following the chalk markings.
- When you reach the finish line, marked out by the piece of card, paint over the card.
- Remove the card to reveal a sharp edge.
