Additionally, Safety Helmets must also be produced under an ISO 9002 Quality System, bear the Kitemark and be manufactured to meet HSE regulations for sale in the United Kingdom. Selection of Head Protection products depend on the working environment and any possible hazards that may present themselves to workers; if in doubt a site survey should be carried out to assess hazards by an HSE appointed agent.

Safety Helmets and protective headwear designs should be supplied according to possible hazards, climatic conditions and environment to ensure maximum comfort for the wearer.
