Fire doors and other emergency exits need to be kept secured to prevent intrusion or misuse, but in order to comply with fire regulations and allow the exit to be used as intended in the event of an emergency, there needs to be a way for it to be opened if necessary. You can have confidence that unauthorised access will be prevented by using the padlock of your choice to secure the bolt – we recommend a tough, reliable model like our high-performance steel padlocks to make sure doors are as secure as possible, and the cast aluminium of the bolt is tough enough to offer great protection.

If there is an emergency and the door needs to be opened to facilitate escape, all the user needs to do is break the ceramic tube and the bolt can be slid back. There's a hammer supplied on a chain to make breaking the tube easy, and the chain prevents the hammer from being moved away from the door. This is an ingenious solution to the problem of needing doors to be secured but easily opened by anyone, without a key. Simple but highly effective, the Panic Bolt Unit does exactly what it needs to, and does it well.

The measurements of the unit are 75 (H) x 165 (W) x 55 mm (D), and it is designed to be fitted to single fire doors. It takes the minimum of fuss to set up and your fire doors will be secured and ready to use in no time, without needing an extensive and disruptive installation. Don't forget to keep some spare ceramic tubes in stock, in case the bolt is used and the tube needs to be replaced.

Is next day delivery available?

  • Yes, next day delivery is available on any UK mainland order placed before 3:30pm subject to stock availability


Can we have our goods on a Saturday?

  • Yes, stock permitting you can also specify a Saturday delivery.  This does carry an extra charge. For standard items the delivery charge is £21.55, although this is subject to change if you are ordering bulky items.


Can we be invoiced?

  • Yes, certainly. If you are ordering on the website this option is available on the payment details confirmation page. If you are ordering by phone, you can request this option as we provide £750 Instant credit
