Glow-in-the-Dark 'Know Your Fire Extinguisher Colour Code' Sign

  • Fire extinguishers are made in several different types, and each one is designed for use with certain fires only. If they're used on the wrong kind of fire, the results can be disastrous, making the situation worse and putting the user in danger. It's important to provide staff with training on the correct use of fire extinguishers, but even after training, people can forget or become confused in the stress of an emergency. This sign gives your employees a quick, simple way to reference what each fire extinguisher type can be used for, so they can ensure they're following the correct procedure before they attempt to tackle a fire.
  • The sign is designed with a simple layout, making it quick for people to find the information they need and causing minimal delay before they can actually begin extinguishing the flames. It features glow-in-the-dark print, which makes it visible even in the low lighting conditions that can occur due to power failure or with heavy smoke in the air. Because of these conditions, using photoluminescent signs for important fire-related messages is extremely useful. Our emergency assembly point sign is an excellent example.
  • This fire extinguisher sign is available in several different sizes and materials, letting you choose the right one for your needs. The rigid plastic option can be used indoors and outdoors with the fixing method of your choice, while the vinyl version is for indoor use only but features a self-adhesive backing for easy mounting. The sign conforms with UK and EU legislation, helping you fulfil your legal duties in addition to increasing your workplace safety.
  • If someone discovers a fire, it's important that they follow all of the recommended procedures in order to deal with the situation safely and maximise the effectiveness of your emergency plans. Our fire action sign lets people know the steps they need to take and also has a glow-in-the-dark surface for increased visibility.
  • We produce two photoluminescent implements: Xtra-Glo & Nite-Glo. Nite-Glo (PSPA Class B classification) will stay luminous for 6 hours with a recharge time of 5 minutes in normal lighting. Whereas Xtra-Glo (PSPA Class C classification) will keep gleaming for 24 hours. To ensure you are fully compliant with ISO 16069, you will need to set Xtra-Glo signage in place. Grade of luminescence is suggestive and therefore can vary based on circumstance including positioning of product or the quantity of exposed natural light in the application area.
Material Polyester, Rigid Plastic.
