There are many ways of finding the products you're looking for from our range of over 30,000 products on the Safetyshop website. The browse navigation is just one of them. You'll find this in the left-hand column on the homepage underneath the 'Start Shopping' links. This navigation presents all the categories of products we sell online. Clicking any of these links will take you to the start of a category (or department) such as Safety Signs, where from there you can continue to use the left-hand navigation links to drill down into specific product lists, and finally to a product detail page.
In the footer on every page you'll find a link to 'SiteMap'. Clicking this link will present you with a list of links to all the main pages on the website, including the product groups or categories. If you can't find what you're looking for via the other methods provided on the website (e.g. navigation and search) or want a quick overview then 'SiteMap' is a great place to start.

Regulatory compliance
What products are covered by WEEE?
The WEEE regulations only applies to electrical or electronic items, simply if the item is powered by or operates by any form of electricity (i.e. mains, batteries, solar power etc.) it is most likely to be included.
IT and telecoms equipment (e.g. printers, calculators, phones, answer machines, barcode scanners etc.) office equipment (e.g. shredders, laminators, projectors, fan heaters, electronic scales, vacuum, air conditioner, electronic safes etc.) electrical and electronic tools (e.g. drills, saws, angle grinders etc.) medical devices (e.g. defibrillators etc.) monitoring and control instruments (e.g. smoke detectors, electrical test meters, CCTV cameras etc.)
Other electrical or electronic devices (e.g. electronic door locks, torches, pressure washers, personal attack alarms etc.) Any product bearing the wheelie bin symbol is included in WEEE regulations.

WEEE FAQ
What are the WEEE Regulations?
The WEEE regulations means that as a producer of "WEEE" Safetyshop has an obligation to accept back from customers any electrical and electronic equipment we have put onto the market since 13th August 2005.
All electrical and electronic equipment put onto the market after this date should by law, be marked with the wheelie bin logo with a line underneath it. As required by law, Brady UK (Safetyshop is a division of Brady UK) has registered under one of the approved compliance schemes. The scheme we are part of is run by Valpak. As such we are obligated to make available to our customers our WEEE Producer Number to prove our registration.
Our WEEE Producer Number is: WEE/BE00448Y and for batteries BPRNOO239
What does this mean in terms of products?
This means that should a customer have a product purchased from Safetyshop which they need to dispose of and they have purchased since 13th of August 2005, then they can send it back to Safetyshop where we will dispose of it according to the new directive.
Our website contains an online form which customers are required to complete in order to be issued with a WEEE returns number to action the return. This will enable us to trace and measure the amount of WEEE we take back as required by the law. Once the form is completed and submitted to Safetyshop we will contact you to advise you of your returns number and how to return the product. Batteries are not supposed to be sent back via post.
What about electronic and electrical equipment sold before 13th of August 2005?
We are only obligated to take back electronic and electrical equipment put onto the market before 13th August 2005 (also known as "Historic WEEE") if it is being replaced by a like-for-like product. For example, a customer replacing their old office fan with a new office fan Safetyshop would accept back the old fan. Furthermore, if "WEEE" or "Historic WEEE" is a non Safetyshop item (e.g. an office fan made by a competitor), and is being replaced by a Safetyshop fan, then we may also take back the old fan.
Will there be any additional charges for this implementaion of WEEE?
No - Safetyshop will not be making additional charges for this.
