Universal, prohibitive mobile phone sign
- Mobile phone use is sometimes prohibited for safety reasons, for example in petrol stations or near to some hospital equipment. In these cases you are obliged under the Health & Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations of 1996 to display a clear 'Do Not Use Mobile Phones' sign. These 'No Mobile Phones' signs are also useful in situations where phones are banned for reasons related to customer experience or where silence is required - such as in libraries or during school exams.
- This sign is of portrait orientation and is available in a variety of sizes and in polypropylene rigid plastic, self-adhesive rigid plastic or self-adhesive vinyl. The design and colour are eye-catching and easy to understand whilst the text 'Do Not Use Mobile Phones' makes the message even clearer. It is part of our varied range of prohibition signs which includes, no smoking and no food or drink, all of which also conform to 1996 regulation standards. The bold red circle and diagonal bar represented on all of our prohibition signs is an internationally understood symbol for 'Do Not Do' and the pictogram of a mobile phone is equally recognisable.
- In areas where compliance is a matter of health and safety, there is a legal obligation to display suitable prohibition signage. Our 'Do Not Use Mobile Phones' sign is suitable for use inside or outside and can safely be displayed in food preparation and medical environments.
- To compliment this sign, and ensure that you are complying with all regulations, you might also be interested in our range of multi-hazard signs which clearly display red prohibition, blue instruction and yellow danger messages.
- All of our safety signs conform to national standards and by installing them in obvious places within restricted areas you will be ensuring both the safety of your staff and your compliance with legal requirements. We would recommend ordering enough signs to ensure visibility across your site.
