Our 'caution may contain asbestos' sign is an essential item if there are asbestos hazards within a building. Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations states that every duty-holder (person who is contracted or has an obligation to maintain or repair non-domestic premises) must manage the possible risk to people with access to the building from exposure to asbestos.
This sign can be used indoors or outdoors depending on your needs. It is a rectangle shape and comes in two sizes, 70 x 50 mm and 100 x 250 mm. The sign is made of rigid polypropylene with a satin finish, or vinyl with a high gloss finish, and it affixes with permanent self-adhesive. The vinyl signs have an easy peel backing - ideal for use on curved surfaces. The plastic signs also have a range of compatible fixings (sold separately), allowing you to affix the sign to a multitude of locations. It has a white background with prominent yellow and black text and a cautionary symbol. You should use these signs to warn others that there is asbestos in the area, enabling them to seek further information about the location and condition of the asbestos. We have made the sign environmentally friendly and it can be recycled at your nearest recycling point. For all other caution and hazard signs, see our hazard warning signs section.
