- The large grit bin can store a large amount of de-icing salt, and plenty is included with the kit. The bin is weather-resistant, keeping the salt dry all year so you won't come to apply it only to find the rain has got in and rendered it useless. The large shovel included makes handling the grit in large quantities easy. Included in the kit is a Winter Xtreme salt spreader, which is an efficient and convenient way to spread de-icing salt. It allows you to cover large areas quickly and easily.
