This sign is designed to label Automated External Defibillators (AEDs) to ensure that the life-saving devices can be easily located in the event of an emergency. Sudden cardiac arrest, when the heart suddenly stops beating to a normal rhythm, is life-threatening and must be treated within minutes to maximise the chances of a victim surviving. AEDs can deliver life-saving shocks to the chest to restore the heart's natural rhythm and stabilise a victim until professional medical help arrives on the scene. By labelling the location of your workplace AED, you can help first aiders to locate the equipment as quickly as possible and waste no time in delivering the life-saving treatment.

Available in a wide variety of sizes, we've made it easy to allow you to choose a sign which best suits the location of your AED. We also have a few different materials to choose from; self-adhesive vinyl, self-adhesive rigid plastic, and polypropylene rigid plastic. The latter, which must be installed using sign fixings (not included), is very durable and ideal for installing on non-smooth surfaces. The self-adhesive rigid plastic variety is also very robust, but offers very easy installation when adhered to smooth, dry surfaces. Finally, the flexible, self-adhesive vinyl variety is great for a wide range of smooth surfaces, including glass and metal, and can be installed on curved surfaces should your AED be stored in a cylindrical cabinet.

In order to ensure victims of sudden cardiac arrest receive the best emergency care possible, you may want to consider installing extra resources for rescuers alongside your AED, such as an instructional defibrillator and CPR step-by-step guide. These instructions can help those who haven't been trained in using an AED to understand how to safely provide care if necessary.
